Breastfeeding is such a beautiful and natural thing a mama and baby share. It was always a goal of mine to breastfeed but that did not come without its challenges. It was beacause of Lactation Consultants that I have been able to successfully breastfeed my daughter for the last ten months to present day. There were times I felt I was not going to be able to and the challeneges were too much, but because I got the support from amazing women I was able to continue. That is why I want to raise money for SDCBC. With this money, we can fund the next generation of lactation educators so more women can get the support they need!

San Diego County Breastfeeding Coalitions's #GivingTuesday campaign will support scholarships for UCSD's Lactation Education program in order to increase lactation support in underserved communities.

Our #GivingTuesday campaign will run November 16th through December 1st, 2021. All funds donated during these dates make a HUGE difference but donations given on #GivingTuesday (11/30) will be DOUBLED. That's right! All donations on #GivingTuesday will be matched up to $15,000.

In partnership with UCSD Extension's Global Lactation Alliance Program, SDCBC offers scholarships for community leaders who are pursuing LEC or IBCLC education. Each year the Coalition will announce several scholarship opportunities and select individuals vividly exhibiting a passion to serve San Diego families.
